Get these two right.
When an indoor grow goes sideways the cause is almost always in the water. EC tells you how strong the feed is, and pH decides whether the plants can take it up at all. Keep both in range and most plants look after themselves. We sell the meters and the adjusters and will happily walk you through your first few readings.

Questions growers ask.
What nutrients do hydroponic plants need?
Because there is no soil, the plants rely on a balanced solution you mix into the water. Most growers run a two or three part nutrient that covers the major and trace elements, with leafy greens wanting a lighter feed and fruiting plants wanting more as they mature. We stock nutrients for every stage.
Why do pH and EC matter so much?
pH controls whether the plants can actually take up the feed, and EC tells you how strong it is. If either drifts too far, plants stop feeding properly even when everything looks fine. A quick check every couple of days keeps them in the sweet spot.
How often should I change the water?
You top up as the plants drink and do a full reservoir change every week or two depending on the system and crop. Starting with fresh nutrient and keeping light off the water stops algae taking hold.
